The annual conference is a 2-day event held in March at which oncology professionals from different departments and fields come together, along with pharmaceutical representatives, to collaborate and network.

Learn More About Our
The roots of Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute run deep in the Spartanburg community, from the time it was just the dream of two doctors to the world-class treatment and research center it has become today.
Local business leaders and philanthropists Jimmy and Marsha Gibbs brought the dream a step closer with a generous $1.2 million lead gift toward establishing a standalone center dedicated exclusively to the treatment of cancer. Located on the campus of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, the center’s mission was to provide leading edge research and treatment in a facility equipped with the most advanced diagnostic and treatment tools.
Named for philanthropists Jimmy and Marsha Gibbs, the Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute opened its doors in 1999. Today, in addition to Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute on the campus of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Gibbs offers satellite locations throughout the Upstate so patients throughout the region have access to the best clinical expertise and most advanced treatments available anywhere, without having to wait or travel far from home.
